FAQ

Do you supply chemicals or do I need to ?

This is up to you. We prefer you to supply the chemicals you want applied, but if you don’t have a pesticide applicator license or for whatever reason can’t supply them, we can get chemicals from a local co-op.

We appreciate it when you can supply water, but we can bring enough to complete the job.

It depends on a few factors:

  • The size and shape of the area.
  • How many obstacles do we need to fly around?
  • How is access to the area being sprayed?
  • How many gallons per acre are being sprayed?

In ideal conditions 40+ acres per hour are possible, but we normally see around 25-30 acres/hour at a 2 gallon/acre spray rate.

While this may be tempting, it might not be a great choice.

  • Does the neighbor’s kid have liability/crop damage insurance if he’s spraying YOUR crops?
  • Does your neighbor’s kid have a Commercial Pesticide Applicator’s license?
  • If there’s a spill or other environmental issue, will he be liable? Or will you?

Yes, we are licensed and insured and meet all governmental requirements. We have our 107 Remote Pilot license, FAA medical exam, Commercial Pesticide Applicator license (Core, Farm Crop, Aerial), and have all the various FAA exemptions for using a drone to apply pesticides. We have liability insurance to cover damage to you, your property, and your crops.

We have to follow the law/label and apply at approved rates. If the label does not allow for aerial application, we can’t apply it.

We can spray anywhere in the state of Minnesota, but since we’re located in central MN, most of our work is there. We commonly work from Kandiyohi County on the west to Dakota on the east, and Mille Lacs county on the north to Sibley county on the south. If you’re outside this area, contact us anyway – let’s talk about it.

Absolutely! This is one of our specialties. Our EA Vision J100 drone can operate when fields are too wet for ground equipment, helping you stay on schedule during challenging weather conditions.
